Maybe it'sTime

“ maybe it's time to take care of yourself.
maybe it's time to scream out loud
that you don't have the answers
and you just plain can't figure out what
it's all about...
but you're in this for the full ride.
maybe it's time to stop doin' the half ride.
maybe it's time to step into it all.
to weep your guts out.
to hurt all the way to your core.
to allow that hurt to be there.
maybe it's time to embrace the love
and believe in it even tho it's not always perfect...
but it is always right.
maybe it's time to shout out to your depths
that you do matter
and you will do all in your power to live healthy.
maybe it's time to stop just getting thru,
just surviving.
maybe it's time to grab the gift you've been given
and celebrate every single piece of it -
including the pain that brought you here.
maybe it's time.
forget the maybe....and know it...
it is time. ”

Psalm 27:14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

What a beautiful song to remind us that God hears, and He knows our prayers, requests, plans, the desires of our hearts. He is never late. His schedule and timing is always perfect. Be still, and be faithful.

Spiritual Gifts

Every believer should go to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to release these 9 gifts through them anytime that He will want to do so. Let God know that you will be a willing vessel for the manifestations of these gifts, and that you will give Him a full and solid green light to manifest these gifts though you at anytime that He will want to do so.

Wisdom Seeing life from God's perspective.

The gift of wisdom is the wisdom of God. It is the supernatural impartation of facts; it is not natural. You can't earn it. It is received from God through prayer (Ephesians 1:17).

Knowledge The supernatural comprehension of Christ and His Word.

The gift of the word of knowledge is the transcendental revelation of the divine will and plan of God. It involves moral wisdom for right living and relationships, requires objective understanding concerning divine things in human duties, and refers to knowledge of God or of the things that belong to God, as related in the Gospel.

The gifts of the word of wisdom and the word of knowledge function together; knowledge is raw material and wisdom builds on it.

Discernment Recognizing what is of God verses the world, the flesh, and the devil.

Discerning of spirits is the supernatural ability given by the Holy Spirit to perceive the source of a spiritual manifestation and determine whether it is of God (Acts 10:30-35), of the devil (Acts 16:16-18), of man (Acts 8:18-23), or of the world. It is not mind reading, psychic phenomena, or the ability to criticize and find fault.

Discerning of spirits must be done by the power of the Holy Spirit; He bears witness with our spirit when something is or is not of God.

Faith  Function on the behalf of the believer to perform something impossible by ordinary human efforts. God intervenes with His sovereignity and glory to work this miracle for us.

The gift of faith is the supernatural ability to believe God without doubt, combat unbelief, and visualize what God wants to accomplish. It is not only an inner conviction impelled by an urgent and higher calling, but also a supernatural ability to meet adverse circumstances with trust in God's words and messages.

This gift not only operates in healings and in miracles, but in the realm of the impossible as well. Saving faith produces the active faith of the fruit of the Spirit which, in turn, produces the gift of faith. When the gift of faith is empowered, the results are miraculous!

Healings Removing diseases from the spirit, soul, and body.

The gift of healings refers to supernatural healing without human aid; it is a special gift to pray for specific diseases.

Healing can come through the touch of faith (James 5:14-15); by speaking the word of faith (Luke 7:1-10); or by the presence of God being manifested (Mark 6:56; Acts 19:11-12).

The Bible speaks of "gifts" of healing because there are three types of healings: physical (diabetes, blindness, cancer, deafness, etc.), emotional (jealousy, worry, discouragement, and other destructive attitudes), and spiritual (bitterness, greed, and guilt, etc.).

Miracles Natural or supernatural events with precise timing to bring glory to God.

A miracle is the performance of something which is against the laws of nature; it is a supernatural power to intervene and counteract earthly and evil forces.

The gift of miracles operates closely with the power gifts of faith and healings to bring authority over Satan, sickness, sin, and the binding forces of this age.
Miracles can also be defined as supernatural intercessions of God. God exhorts us with energy to do something that is not natural or normal to us. Just as the ministry gift of miracles is the expression of prayer, so is the function of the Holy Spirit to direct our prayers (Romans 8:26).

Prophecy Bringing to light secret motives of the heart.

Prophecy is divinely inspired and anointed utterance; a supernatural proclamation in a known language. It is the manifestation of the Spirit of God - not of intellect (I Corinthians 12:7), and it may be possessed and operated by all who have the infilling of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 14:31)

Intellect, faith, and will are operative in this gift, but its exercise is not intellectually based. It is calling forth words from the Spirit of God. The gift of prophecy operates when there is high worship (I Samuel 10:5-6), when others prophets are present (I Samuel 10:9-10), and when hands are laid on you by ministers (Acts 19:1-6).

Diverse Tongues Glorifying God through language and music.

Supernatural utterance through the power of the Holy Spirit in a person that manifests as spiritual language. The Holy Spirit energizes the tongue to edify believers through language and music.

Diverse tongues is the most misunderstood and dynamic gift. It is not your prayer language, but it can surface through intercession, conference, or through the individual.

Interpretation of Tongues A supernatural verbalization and subsequent interpretation of the diverse tongue.

Interpretation of tongues is a supernatural verbalization and subsequent interpretation to reveal the meaning of a diverse tongue. This gift operates out of the mind of the Spirit rather than out of the mind of man.

The Word of God says that if you pray in tongues, you should pray that you will also interpret - not only for the benefit of others - but for your own benefit as well.

These 9 gifts are a tremendous help and aid to not only you in your own personal walk with the Lord, but many of them can be also used to help other people out as special needs and circumstances arise in their lives.

A Home for God's Child

Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” –Mark 10:15 and Luke 18:17 (see also Matthew 18:3)

When grown-ups move from one home to another, their children move with them. They don’t get a vote. They may not understand why. They may not even like or want the change. When their parents move, however, children move, too, because for children, home is where their parents are.

If we are the children of God, therefore, and He is our Father, home for us is where He Is. Since God is everywhere, in a broad sense, that could mean that home is anywhere. But anywhere doesn’t bring up images of the comfort and security and context of home. No. In more personal terms, I think home for us is where God sends us, where God wants us, where God takes us, wherever God leads.

Jesus, God’s Son, was sent to Earth by the Father. Our world became His home. Then He was taken back up to Heaven, His eternal home. And there, He is creating an eternal home for us.

For now, however, just like it was for Jesus, Earth is our home. We are God’s children. Our place is to obey and go wherever we are sent, wherever God’s Spirit leads. As we do what God tells us to do, we find that we are where He Is—and that means we’re always at home.

Does that make sense?

Obviously, I’m playing with the title of this blog a little bit. But I love, love, love that home is not only where God sends us, but also where He takes us. He Is with us wherever He tells us to go. And because we’re His children, that’s what makes the place He moves us to our home.

Beloved Heavenly Father, Home for My Heart and Soul, I am ever thankful You’ve made me Your child. As You lead me all over this world, help me to remember my home is not really a physical place. Home is living in loving obedience to You. Wherever You want me is where I want to be. In Your Presence, I am home. Amen.

Three Truths for the Sake of Your Thanksgiving

But proud people don't say thanks. And so I have laid before you three very humbling truths for the sake of your thankfulness.
  1. The first truth: nature teaches us that an infinitely marvelous, eternally powerful Being created us and all we have. Therefore we are his creatures. He owns us. Our life, our breath, and everything we have is a gift. Our duty is simply to be thankful to him from our heart and to cherish his glory.
  2. The second humbling truth is that all of us have fallen short of this duty. We have not consistently prized the diamond of God's glory with an affection anywhere near its value but have exchanged it again and again for the cracked marbles that in our great "wisdom" we have determined are more valuable.
  3. The third humbling truth is that God, in his great mercy, sent his Son to suffer the judgment of people who are broken and contrite in spirit and who trust in him.
Proud people don't say thanks. But people who believe these three truths do, from the bottom of their heart. The truth that we are utterly dependent creatures. The truth that we are depraved sinners. And the truth that we are redeemed and utterly forgiven through contrite faith. If these three truths penetrate to your heart this day, they will empty your heart of pride and fill it with thankfulness to God.

10 Reasons Why I Am Thankful for the Bible

1. The Bible awakens faith, the source of all obedience.

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)

2. The Bible frees from sin.

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. (John 8:32)

3. The Bible frees from Satan.

The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. (2 Timothy 2:24-26)

4. The Bible sanctifies.

Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. (John 17:17)

5. The Bible frees from corruption and empowers godliness.

His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. (2 Peter 1:3-4)

6. The Bible serves love.

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment. (Philippians 1:9)

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. (1 Timothy 1:5)

7. The Bible saves.

Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you. (1 Timothy 4:16)

Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God. (Acts 20:26)

[They will] perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:10)

8. The Bible gives joy.

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. (John 15:11)

9. The Bible reveals the Lord.

And the Lord appeared again at Shiloh, for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the Lord. (1 Samuel 3:21)

10. Therefore, the Bible is the foundation of my happy home and life and ministry and hope of eternity with God.

I Believe

A Birth Certificate shows that we were born.

A Death Certificate shows that we died.

Pictures show that we lived!

Have a seat . . . Relax . . . And read this slowly...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I Believe....
That just because two people argue, that
doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, that
doesn't mean they do love each other.
I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if
we understand that friends change.
I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I Believe......
That you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.
I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.
I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with
loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I Believe......
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.
I Believe...
That we are responsible for what
we do, no matter how we feel.
I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences...
I Believe...
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I Believe....
That my best friend and I can do anything,
or nothing, and have the best time.
I Believe...
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you
When you're down will be the ones to help you get back up..
I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had,
and what you've learned from them...and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I Believe...
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.
I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find
out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I Believe....
Two people can look at the exact same
thing and see something totally different.
I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.
I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give,
if a friend cries out to you...you will find the strength to help.
I Believe...
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon..
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything.
Thank you God for all the wonderful people who help me throughout this journey of life...
John 3:13 "The Story Of Love"
I have been crying for about half an hour after realising that I need God so badly. I thought I could hold all the pieces of my life together but I can't do it. I need my saviour. And after all of this, after all the things I've done wrong in my life, after all the stupid things I've said & done that I wish I could forget, God has forgiven me. GOD HAS FORGIVEN ME. No grudges, no threats, no anger. Just pure love.Thank you God, for saving me.
The Promised Kiss
I saw her from a distance
Her hair was white as snow
A daughter walked behind her
There was love there, I know.
It was rude of me to stare
But I missed my mother dear
This elderly woman touched me
Her voice I wanted to hear.
She walked by ever so slowly
To her daughter I would glance
Your mother is so, so precious
Could I hug her by chance?
She was tiny, delicate, but regal
She wondered what was amiss
But when I hugged her to me
She surprised me with a kiss.
I told her of my mother
I am sure I was a sight
Rambling words so revealing, but
Those mother's eyes held me tight.
She told me not to worry
Someday we'll share the bliss
And when I see you in Heaven
I'll give you another kiss.
There I stood in wonder
Was she an angel from above?
She might see my mother first
And share my words of love.
Oh my heart was warmed tonight
For a mother that I miss
But we will meet again someday
When I claim the promised kiss.
I'm Stepping Out in Faith Today
I'm stepping out in faith today,
I'm walking with the Lord.
I found Him faithful yesterday,
He'll be true again today.
I'm stepping out in faith today,
I'm seeking to find His peace.
I found His tranquility yesterday,
He'll calm me again today.
I'm stepping out in faith today,
I'm trusting Him with my heart.
I found Him trustworthy yesterday,
He'll be reliable again today.
I'm stepping out in faith today,
I'm asking Him to heed my prayer.
I found Him listening yesterday,
He'll hear me again today.
I'm stepping out in faith today,
I'm looking for Him to comfort me.
I found His compassion yesterday,
He'll soothe me again today.
I'm stepping out in faith today,
I'm confident He will lead.
I found Him guiding me yesterday,
He'll show me the way again today.
"Love by Faith"
A certain lawyer asked Jesus, "Sir, which is the most important command in the laws of Moses?"
Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. The second most important is similar: 'Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.' All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets stem from these two laws and are fulfilled if you obey them. Keep only these and you will find that you are obeying all the others."
At one time in my Christian life I was troubled over the command to love God so completely. How could I ever measure up to such a high standard? Two very important considerations have helped me to desire to love and please Him completely.
First, the Holy Spirit has filled my heart with God's love, as promised in Romans: We know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.
Second, by meditating on the attributes of God and the wonderful things He has done and is doing for me, I find my love for Him growing. I love Him because He first loved me.
How could God love me so much that He was willing to die for me? Why should God choose me to be His child? By what merit do I deserve to be his ambassador to tell this good news of His love and forgiveness to the world? On what basis do I deserve the privilege of His constant presence and His in-dwelling Spirit, of His promise to supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory? Why should I have the privilege - denied to most of the people of the world who do not know our Savior - of awaking each morning with a song in my heart and praise to Him on my lips for the love and joy and peace that He so generously gives to all who place their trust in his dear Son, the Lord Jesus?
The apostle Paul explains: If you love your neighbor as much as you love yourself you will not want to harm or cheat him, or kill him or steal from him. And you won't sin with his wife or want what is his or do anything else the Ten Commandments say is wrong. All ten are wrapped up in this one, to love your neighbor as you love yourself. Love does no wrong to anyone. That's why it fully satisfies all of God's requirements. It is the only law you need.
It is love for God and for others that results in righteousness, in fruit, and in glory to Christ.
Also, you were commanded to love others because such love testifies to your relationship with the Father. You demonstrate that you belong to Christ by your love for others. The apostle John practically equates your salvation with the way you love others when he says that if you don't love others, you do not know God, for He is love.
John says: If someone who is supposed to be a Christian has money enough to live well, and sees a brother in need, and won't help him - how can God's love be within him? Little children, let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions.
Jesus says: I demand that you love each other as much as I love you.
As a Christian you should love your neighbor because your neighbor is a creature of God made in the image of God; because God loves your neighbor; and because Christ died for your neighbor. Following the example of our Lord, you should love everyone, even as Christ did. You should devote your life to helping others experience His love and forgiveness.
Jesus also said: There is a saying, "Love your friends and hate your enemies." But I say: Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting as true sons of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust too.
If you are friendly only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even the heathen do that.
When Christians begin to act like Christians and love God, their neighbors, their enemies and especially their Christian brothers - regardless of color, race or class - we will see in our time, as in the first century, a great transformation in the whole of society. People will marvel when they observe our love in the same way people marveled when they observed those first century believers saying, "How they love one another."
I encourage you to take the first step; start loving by faith and follow that flow. It is Gods compassion streaming toward the one in need. The tug of love within you means that He is filling you with godly compassion and that He has chosen you to minister to that individual.
